🎓 Time-limited video hub

Time-limited video hub

Host your videos on FTP or a direct folder, then hand out sealed codes that only work until a deadline — your own mini course platform, with access that expires on its own and a path viewers never see.

How to run it

  1. Host your folder

Put your videos in a folder and serve it over FTP or a direct link — your own server, a NAS, or OpenHub Server on a Mac.

  2. Seal it with a deadline

In the Secure Share Maker, pick FTP (or Public Link), paste the folder address, and set an Expiry — that’s the access deadline.

  3. Add a short valid window

Optionally set the valid time so each code must be redeemed soon after you send it — handy for one-per-viewer hand-outs.

  4. Hand out the code

Send the sealed code to each viewer. They paste it in OpenHub → Add Folder → Secure Info — no address or login to type.

  5. Access expires on its own

They browse and stream until the deadline. After it, the tile won’t open — and the real path was never shown to them.

Perfect for

Course library
Sell or share a set of lessons that unlocks for a set time.
Rental screening
Lend a film or series for a weekend, then it locks itself.
Client hand-off
Deliver footage or files that stay available for a review window.
Study group
Give classmates temporary access to shared material.

Two clocks, two jobs

Expiry
How long viewers keep access. After the deadline the tile won’t open — the rental or course simply ends.
Valid time
How long each code stays redeemable after you make it. Keep it short so a code can’t be imported long after you hand it out.
